From 1 to 6 May, the old Kaispeicher will be transformed into a pop-up bar. Almost all of Miles Davis’s albums will be played here, whilst you can enjoy a drink with a fantastic view

Vinyl, drinks and harbour views

The »Miles 100 Marathon« gives all Miles fans, old and new, the chance to listen to his records on vinyl in a relaxed atmosphere. A total of 64 albums by Miles Davis, spanning a career of over 40 years, will be played on a high-quality vintage sound system. The Pacific Bar from Hamburg’s Schanze district, renowned beyond the trendy neighbourhood not least for its hand-picked cocktails, will provide fine drinks and a cosy atmosphere.

The vinyl marathon is part of a unique programme organised by the Elbphilharmonie to mark the 100th birthday of the jazz legend. At the five concerts in the Grand Hall, international jazz stars such as Ambrose Akinmusire, Bobby Previte, the Brussels Jazz Orchestra and the NDR Big Band will interpret the work of this musician of the century.

    The entrance to the pop-up bar is located on the 6th floor between the two escalators at the panorama window. The admission is free.

  • Cloakroom

    A free, unattended cloakroom is located on the 5th floor under the stairs.

  • Toilets

    The toilets are located on the 7th floor.

  • Smoking

    In der Elbphilharmonie ist das Rauchen generell verboten, auch auf den Balkonen und auf der gesamten Plaza, einschließlich der Außenbereiche.
