Beethoven: Symphony No. 7

A real orchestral hit in the Grand Hall: the Aurora Orchestra plays Beethoven's famous Seventh Symphony – by heart.

The Aurora Orchestra is celebrated worldwide not least for its remarkable ability to perform entire symphonies from memory. While this might seem daunting to some, it is a liberating experience for the London-based ensemble. Without the barrier of music stands, the musicians can fully immerse themselves in the music. Under the baton of Nicholas Collon, Beethoven’s famous Seventh Symphony transforms into a fresh and intense experience – music that exudes pure joy.

At the concert on 1 March, the orchestra performed together with South African cellist, singer and composer Abel Selaocoe his cello concerto »Four Spirits«. Watch the concert stream here.
