A German couple travels to England to conceive a child with IVF in a private clinic. Three embryos are produced but only one will be implanted. In that moment there begins a speculative preview of key life events between birth and death. The stories of the possible lives of the three embryos – Amelie, Max and Fabian – are narrated in a parallel montage. Which of the three lives is the most valuable? Three possibilities are presented – the parents will have to choose. The two left behind are the impossible ones. In 2018, the well-known actors Jan-Josef Liefers, Matthias Koeberlin, Meret Becker, Claudia Michelsen, Ronald Zehrfeld and Thomas Loibl performed Paul Plamper and Julian Kamphausen’s radio play on stage in Hanover, and they can now be seen at the Laeiszhalle.
