Uschi Brüning Sings Billie Holiday

Uschi Brüning is one of Germany’s leading jazz singers. She has worked with notable international jazz and vocal soloists, and regular collaborations in the studio and in concert halls with her partners »Luten« Petrowsky and Manfred Krug have produced particular career highlights. Her autobiography »So wie ich« (Just Like Me) was published recently. Here is a quotation from it: »Our man from Peitz, Ulli Blobel, the creative restless spirit of the jazz scene, proposed an additional project: Uschi Brüning sings Billie Holiday, accompanied by bass and drums. A difficult undertaking, but not difficult enough to stop us from trying.« The Billie Holiday programme has since been successfully premiered in Berlin. Uschi Brüning is accompanied by Jan Roder on bass and Michael Griener on drums.
