Singer, composer and ethnomusicologist Susana Baca is a world music pioneer and one of Peru’s most popular musicians. As a Peruvian with African roots, Baca has dedicated much of her career to preserving her country’s Afro-Peruvian musical traditions and introducing them to the world. Her latest album »Palabras Urgentes« (Urgent Words) is dedicated to all those battling for a better world.
