SH4iKH Quartett
Jazz at the Kulturcafé
Modern jazz with a pinch of Arabic music
The German-Arab composer, arranger and instrumentalist Maximilian Shaikh-Yousef has cultivated a rich musical language over the past ten years with which he tells his urban stories. In the summer of 2015, he founded his quartet. The music is influenced by various styles of jazz, as well as Arabic sounds and classical literature, and takes on its own facet through the musical language of the composer and his fellow musicians.
Jazz at the Kulturcafé is a monthly event presenting the most promising upcoming artists in the jazz and singer-songwriter scene. It is the perfect experimental platform for musicians and bands from Hamburg and all over the country. The atmosphere is laid back – and admission is free!
