In this intimate lieder recital, the singer Seda Amir-Karayan presents Robert Schumann’s famous song cycle »Frauenliebe und -leben« of 1840, and combines it with love songs by Robert and Clara Schumann, Hugo Wolf and his Armenian contemporary Komitas Vardapet. Accompanied by Götz Payer on the piano, she shares her most personal thoughts about the music, and about love and life, with the audience, and puts the works in a new context.
