SaitenWind Trio
Tchaikovsky / Grieg
The SaitenWind Trio combines the flute, the clarinet and the guitar into an unusual ensemble that calls for unusual programmes. The trio plays »The Seasons« by Russian composer Pyotr Tchaikovsky in the first half of the concert. The twelve character pieces are pictorial impressions of the Russian seasons translated into music, each one named after one of the twelve months of the year. The second half of the concert features the mysterious sounds and dreamy melodies of Edvard Grieg.
