This literary-musical evening as part of the Hamburger Theater Festival links two legendary stories of rebellion and the fight for freedom: the myth of Prometheus the Titan and the history of Count of Egmont of the Spanish Netherlands. The actor Sebastian Koch reads a collection of texts by Goethe, Shelley and Lord Byron, with interludes of music of Ludwig van Beethoven. On a central cube covered with canvas, the Viennese film collective Atzgerei sparks an iconoclasm through video projections, well suited to the music and texts.

Since 2009, the Hamburg Theater Festival has been bringing many much-discussed theatre productions from across the German-speaking region to Hamburg.
