Piotr Anderszewski / Piano Recital
Please note the change of programme!
»Phenomenal transparency«, »a master of pianissimo«, »a subtle touch« – these are typical of the phrases the music critics write about Piotr Anderszewski. »Humility« and »intimacy« appear in journalists’ attempts to describe his unique playing style. And the Polish pianist is absolutely uncompromising in this respect: he broke off his appearance at the Leeds Competition in the middle of the semi-final because he wasn’t happy with his own interpretation, nothing short of a legendary move. Another example of the seriousness with which he approaches music and its presentation was he decision in 2014 to take a 14-month break from concert appearances. Piotr Anderszewski feels strongly that any concert he gives should and always will be a special experience.
