Peter Eötvös’s Universe
Eötvös / Bartók
The composer invites you to join him on a stroll through space: Peter Eötvös, Elbphilharmonie Artist in Residence for the 2017/18 season and one of today’s most important composers and conductors, is extremely interested in astronomy – in the planets, the stars and galaxies and in the thought that there may be more than one universe. Thus tonight’s concert with the title »Peter Eötvös’s Universe« does its name justice in two different ways: on the one hand it carries the audience off to the visible, physically measurable universe, and on the other it transports us to the artist’s own inner universe.
