NDR Chamber Music Recital

»The secret of this small ensemble may well be that, no matter what piece, they always play for their lives.« That was one media opinion on the Evrus Piano Trio, which was formed by the pianist Tinatin Gambashidze and two members of the NDR Elbphilharmonie Orchestra. »We can’t help but keep ourselves busy with music!« say the artists about themselves. In this NDR Chamber Music Recital they now perform two of the great classics of the repertoire. The first is Schubert’s confessional Trio in E flat major, which he dedicated to »nobody save those who find pleasure in it«; the second is Dmitri Shostakovich’s passionate Trio in E minor, which he composed in memory of a friend who had died unexpectedly.
