After training as a classical pianist, Luke Howard worked for a long time as a film music composer for TV and cinema before venturing to record his first solo album. Howard has already performed twice in the final round of the Montreux Jazz Festival, and he has enjoyed close collaborations with musicians such as Ben Frost, Lior, Jeff Mills and Derrick May. In his latest album »Two Places«, which he now presents at the Elbphilharmonie, Howard once again explores the connection between piano music and electronic music, drawing inspiration from composers such as Arvo Pärt and bands like the Grandbrothers and Rachel’s.
