Lucas & Arthur Jussen / Piano Recital
Works for two pianos or for piano for four hands by Mozart, Schumann, Widmann, Debussy and Rachmaninov
Talent in a twin pack
They literally have a love of music in their genes: the brothers Lucas and Arthur Jussen have been appearing together since childhood. Whether they are playing with the world’s best orchestras, performing for the Queen of Holland or giving a recital before a knowledgeable audience, they send a fresh breeze through the piano scene with their incredible talent and charming manner.
In their mid- and late twenties respectively, they officially count as »young talents«, but their success places them in quite a different career phase. A phase in which they manage to persuade a famous composer like Jörg Widmann to add to the slim repertoire for piano duo. At the Elbphilharmonie, Lucas and Arthur Jussen combine Widmann’s »Bunte Blätter« of 2022 with classical piano duo pieces by Mozart, Schumann, Debussy and Rachmaninov.
