Livestream: Oper am Gänsemarkt: reloaded
The concert takes place without audience, please note the information about ticket refunds
This concert will be broadcast as a livestream without audience. Tickets for € 10 are available here: www.gaensemarkt-oper.de
Very much in the style of Hamburg’s old opera house on Gänsemarkt (1678-1738), the audience at this concert enjoys a mixture of different works, cultures and musical eras. The heavily cut story of Dido, the unhappy Queen of Carthage, and Trojan prince Aeneas is told by three great artists: Roman poet Virgil, London composer Purcell and his Hamburg opposite number Christoph Graupner. The stage set for the operatic action that is projected behind the orchestra is the product of a cooperation between Hamburg and Osnabrück school students, working together with the well-known Bremen collective URBANSCREEN.
