Kjartan Sveinsson & Gyða Valtysdóttir

In August last year, around 200 artists gathered in the Funkhaus Berlin to take part in the »P-E-O-P-L-E Festival«. The aim of the event was to bring musicians together and to generate new sounds from talent, craftsmanship, inspiration, improvisation and openness. The artists involved presented works they had developed together in just one week as well as new arrangements of their respective solo works. Through that, five musicians established a bond, committed to further pursue the project after the end of the festival, and decided to perform together: Kjartan Sveinsson & Gyða Valtysdóttir with Indré Jurgelevičiūté, Bert Cools and Shahzad Ismaily now come to the Elbphilharmonie Recital Hall.
