Long Night of Chamber Music
Distinguished musicians have always commanded great respect for their ability not only to shine in the spotlight as soloists, but also for their eagerness to seek out other artists with whom they can make music. An excellent example is the clarinettist Sabine Meyer, who performs worldwide with orchestras while finding time for numerous chamber music projects.
Taking on the Long Night of Chamber Music, an evening that brings passionate music lovers together from on and off the stage, is Sabine Meyer herself with her many renowned colleagues and musician friends. At the centre of this multipart concert is Schubert’s wonderful octet for string quintet and three wind instruments, performed by the Modigliani Quartet, among others. Numerous other guests – such as the intense and highly regarded Cello Duello, made up of two cellists – round off the evening.
