Chamber Music Concert / Symphoniker Hamburg

For the fourth chamber concert of the season, five members of the Symphoniker Hamburg have banded together to form a wind quintet. Debussy’s Suite takes the audience away on an excursion featuring a boat journey and the joyful spirit of the waltz. Tchaikovsky’s emotionally charged Variations take us back to a time when everyone powdered their faces white and enjoyed a merry dance. The programme also features classic works by Anton Reicha, who taught both Berlioz and Liszt.
