What constitutes a sound? What is music? Questions like these preoccupy creative thinkers like John Cage. Thanks to the Wiener Taschenoper, children aged 5 and above can immerse themselves in the composer’s thoughts: in »A House Full of Music« two actors and a pianist take the audience on an adventurous musical journey.
The Wiener Taschenoper has produced contemporary opera productions for children in co-production with partners in Austria and abroad since 2006. It regularly commissions new compositions and arrangements of the existing opera repertoire for these projects, and incorporates a range of electronics, videos, contemporary dance and pyrotechnics.
