BLAER’s music is quiet yet powerful. No note is wasted, everything in the right place. Repetitive piano patterns and spherically suspended saxophone lines define this jazz music that is reduced to the essentials. The Bern-based quintet headed by pianist Maja Nydegger got people to sit up and take notice with their atmospheric debut six years ago. In 2020, the band is now set to release their third album »YELLOW«.
Jazz at the Kulturcafé is a monthly event presenting the most promising upcoming artists in the jazz and singer-songwriter scene. It is the perfect experimental platform for musicians and bands from Hamburg and all over the country. The atmosphere is laid back – and admission is free!
