Jan Lisiecki
Montgomery / Mendelssohn Bartholdy / Mozart
Description
Young, highly talented, and charming as well? If you think this combination is only to be found in fairy tales, or maybe in the cinema, you have not met Jan Lisiecki yet. His playing is breathtaking, his manner relaxed and serious at the same time, his choice of programme is smart and his fan club is constantly growing. It is actually a tiny bit surprising that Lisiecki didn’t turn his attention to the Mendelssohn piano concertos earlier: the parallels with the gifted composer, who stood in the limelight from an early age and was described by Schumann as »the Mozart of the 19th century«, cannot be overlooked.
