Hamburger Orchestergemeinschaft
Mozart / Schumann / Schubert
In this concert, the Hamburger Orchestergemeinschaft traces an arc from Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart to Franz Schubert and onwards to Robert Schumann. Mozart’s famous overture to »The Magic Flute« is the epitome of classicism, while Schumann’s Cello Concerto is pure Romanticism. In between we have the »heavenly length« of Schubert’s Great Symphony in C Major, providing – even as the concert finale – a wonderful link between those two worlds.
