Pianist Karlrobert Kreiten’s 100th Birthday
Karlrobert Kreiten’s 100th birthday is on 26 June 2016. He was murdered on 7 September 1943 by the National Socialist Party. His teacher Claudio Arrau described him as »one of the greatest piano talents I have ever known«. Florian Heinisch now performs Kreiten’s »unperformed« piano recital that was to take place in Heidelberg and which Kreiten could not fulfil due to his capture in May 1943.
