Eurasian Flow
Universal Korean Organic Ensemble / Viktoria Elisabeth Kaunzner
Europe and Asia in harmony
»Eurasian flow« is what you get when you bring together western and traditional oriental and east-Asian instruments to create a fascinating sound space. Violinist and composer Viktoria Elisabeth Kaunzner brings this flow to the stage with her Universal Korean Organic Ensemble. The programme features important works by the Argentine composer Claudia Montero, who died only recently, and pieces by the pianist, university professor and multi-award-winning composer Violeta Dinescu, who dedicated her work »Roman Fleuve« to Viktoria Kaunzner.
One of Kaunzner’s own works is also being performed in the concert: »Saiga Antilope« is an intricately arranged combination of documentary film and live music. Another concert highlight is the Australian composer Elena Kats-Chernin’s »Times of Rain and Sun«, which is dedicated to the ensemble.
