Fumiaki Miura ging noch zur Grundschule, als er die ersten Preise bei japanischen Nachwuchswettbewerben gewann. Die Siegesserie des 1993 geborenen Geigers hielt unvermindert an und setzte sich auch in Europa fort, wo er seit 2009 am Konservatorium in Wien studiert. Fumiaki Miura nimmt lieber durch die Genauigkeit seiner Interpretation für sich ein, als durch artistische Zirkusnummern - die er freilich ebenfalls beherrscht und zuweilen auch in Zugaben zum Besten gibt. In Debussys Sonate für Violine und Klavier von 1917 ist unter anderem die musikalische Kommunikation mit seiner Klavierbegleiterin Katharina Sellheim gefragt. Die Instrumente setzen sich kontrastreich voneinander ab, um immer wieder für einzelne Momente zusammenzufinden. Eigentlich hatte Claude Debussy geplant, sechs Sonaten für unterschiedliche Besetzungen zu komponieren. Es sollten jedoch nur drei werden. Die für Violine und Klavier ist die Letzte, die Debussy realisieren konnte, bevor er im Folgejahr einem Krebsleiden erlag. 1928, also zehn Jahre nach Debussys Tod, wurde Igor Strawinskys Ballett »Der Kuss der Fee« in Paris uraufgeführt. Es ist eine Hommage an Tschaikowsky, aus dessen frühen Klavierwerken Strawinsky einige Melodien direkt übernahm. Das Divertimento, das in vier Sätzen Elemente aus dem Ballett aufnimmt, stellte der Komponist 1934 selbst zusammen.

The accessible entrance to the Grand Hall and Brahms Foyer is located on Gorch-Fock-Wall. The Brahms Foyer is only accessible to folding wheelchairs or wheelchairs under 72 cm in width.
The accessible entrance to the Recital Hall is located at Dammtorwall 46 (Artists’ Entrance). The Recital Hall is only accessible to folding wheelchairs or wheelchairs under 68 cm in width.
Three parking spaces for visitors with disabilities are located at the entrance on Gorch-Fock-Wall. Six parking spaces for visitors with disabilities are available in front of the Artists’ Entrance on Dragonerstall.
All halls and spaces are accessible for visitors with disabilities. The Grand Hall has space for six wheelchairs, while the Recital Hall has space for four wheelchairs (audience seats can be dismounted to make space for two further wheelchair spaces). The Laeiszhalle is a separate concert hall located three kilometres away from the Elbphilharmonie.

Arrival time
We suggest visitors arrive at the Laeiszhalle main entrance not later than 30 minutes before the start of the concert or event. Late seating is not guaranteed and latecomers may not be admitted to the concert hall.
