Deutsches Kinderärzteorchester / Mario Hartmuth
Benefit concert in aid of the Freundeskreis UKE für Kinder mit Demenz e.V.
The Deutsches Kinderärzteorchester was founded in 1960 as a chamber orchestra and quickly developed into a large symphony orchestra. Its members are predominantly paediatricians from practices and children’s hospitals. Once a year, as part of the paediatricians’ congress, a benefit concert is held in aid of a charity for sick or disadvantaged children. Since 2019, the orchestra has been conducted by Mario Hartmuth, who is deputy general music director at the Staatstheater Kassel.
