»I’ve been to the mountaintop...« – Every vision that eventually changes the world must first be put into words. The visionary power of the word is also clearly evident in the three contemporary works in this concert: Martin Luther King’s speech on 3 April 1968, the day before his assassination, inspired the Dutch composer Jacob TV (alias Jacob ter Veldhuis) to write »Mountain Top«.
