Warning: mind-blowing! American pianist Myra Melford and her quintet performed a tantalising debut in the Laeiszhalle Recital Hall in autumn 2018. With her virtuosity and spiritual style, Melford is considered one of the most interesting pianists of last 25 years. For the Hamburg International Music Festival, her quintet, Snowy Egret, returns for an eagerly awaited concert. Extremely exciting, contemporary jazz lodged between brooding elegies, carnival rhythms and focussed abstractions.
