Maria Meerovitch was born in Saint Petersburg in 1969. After attending A. Ugorski’s class in the conservatory there, she was awarded a scholarship by the Alex de Vries Fund, a Yehudi Menuhin foundation in Belgium, to study at the Royal Conservatory of Antwerp. She has won a number of prizes in various international competitions over the last ten years.
