Inspired by jazz greats such as DeeDee Bridgewater and Dianne Reeves, Franziska Loos composes pieces that hit listeners with a directness that is hard to escape. The focus is on the stories, the search, the human abysses, but above all hope – showing without being obtrusive. With vibraphone and wind section, the »line-up is the only one of its kind in Germany« (NWZ), giving all the musicians plenty of freedom for improvisation in alternating constellations. At times groovy, at times spherical or noise-like in a completely modern way: no matter in which direction the music heads, with loos.extended seat dancing is guaranteed.

Jazz at the Kulturcafé is a monthly event presenting the most promising upcoming artists in the jazz and singer-songwriter scene. It is the perfect experimental platform for musicians and bands from Hamburg and all over the country. The atmosphere is laid back – and admission is free!
