The four members of the JACK Quartet are the first point of call and the ensemble of choice for the premiere of new works by many contemporary composers, combining as they do immaculate technique with a keen intellect and unconditional dedication to the music. In recent years they have worked together with some of the best known and most innovative composers of our time, from Steve Reich and Matthias Pintscher to John Zorn. Tonight they appear at the Elbphilharmonie as part of the portrait of Austrian composer Eva Reiter.
