This concert promises a shimmering Impressionistic kaleidoscope with bewitching colour spectrums. Claude Debussy’s »Danse sacrée« and »Danse profane« were composed in 1904 as advertising music for a new type of harp. The harp failed to become established, but the dances have become firm favourites in the concert repertoire, taking the audience away into naive and innocent dream worlds.
