Alexander Lubyantsev / Piano Recital
Bach / Beethoven / Ravel
Alexander Lubyantsev was the clear-cut audience favourite at the legendary Tchaikovsky Piano Competition in Moscow in 2011. The jury awarded him the first-ever Special Prize of the Moscow Music Critics’ Association. He had previously caused quite a stir at the Sydney Piano Competition in 2004 and at the Tchaikovsky Piano Competition in 2007. Today, the 32-year-old Russian pianist, who enjoys a close collaboration with the renowned Mariinsky Theatre, is regarded as one of the brightest stars of his generation.
