Alexander Krichel / Klavierabend
Händel / Brahms / Rachmaninow
Rachmaninov’s 150th anniversary
The Hamburg pianist Alexander Krichel returns to the Elbphilharmonie for an evening dedicated to Sergei Rachmaninov, who would have celebrated his 150th birthday on 1 April 2023. Rachmaninov’s highly emotional music has always accompanied Krichel at important stages of his life. As a result, the Russian composer’s works – along with those of the German Romanticists – make up the Hamburg pianist’s core repertoire.
