Triple Concerto with Star Line-Up

Concerts at the Elbphilharmonie and Laeiszhalle are currently subject to coronavirus-related restrictions. This event is therefore going ahead with an amended programme and reduced seating capacity. There will be two concerts on 18 November 2020 at 18:30 and 21:00.

Anne-Sophie Mutter – without a doubt today’s most important violinist. The list of her musical partners reads like a Who’s Who of the classical-music scene, while her concert venues read like a travel guide to the international cultural landscape. She has been sharing her huge body of experience with young musicians for more than 30 years through her foundation. And among the many scholarship holders that Anne-Sophie Mutter supported personally at the start of their career was the cellist Daniel Müller-Schott.

Since then, these two exceptional artists have regularly appeared together in concert. And Daniil Trifonov likewise had the opportunity to shine at the side of the star violinist. In the Elbphilharmonie, the three of them can be heard together in Beethoven’s Triple Concerto, a work whose particular charm lies in the unique interaction between chamber music and the orchestral concerto.
