The pianist Frank Wunsch is an avid and enthusiastic teacher. Students of all ages – be they beginners or more advanced – are welcome. He taught jazz piano and teaching methodology at the Cologne University of Music and Dance (HfMT) for an incredible 34 years, the last ten as a professor. One of his most popular courses among students were the duo workshops. It was there that he met the students Christina Zurhausen (guitar) and Ramon Keck (drums), with whom he developed a friendly relationship alongside the teaching. Together with Conrad Noll (bass), the musicians celebrate their love of jazz, a love that – in addition to their friendship – forms the basis for this exciting cross-generational project.
Jazz at the Kulturcafé is a monthly event presenting the most promising upcoming artists in the jazz and singer-songwriter scene. It is the perfect experimental platform for musicians and bands from Hamburg and all over the country. The atmosphere is laid back – and admission is free!
