Description

Hungarian trumpeter Tamás Pálfalvi and Echo-Preisträger Christian Schmitt explore the contrasts of the trumpet/organ repertoire in their concert in the Elbphilharmonie Grand Hall. Familiar music rubs shoulders with new works, and Baroque compositions make way for contemporary pieces. The two musicians share a boundless musical curiosity, prompting them to regularly track down new works for their instruments: works by Robert Erickson, Charles-Marie Widor and Petr Eben, and by great masters like Johann Sebastian Bach, George Frideric Handel, Georg Philipp Telemann and Franz Liszt.
