Description

Electro and techno artist Nadia Struiwigh delves into electronic musical storytelling, fittingly for the ePhil series. Her workshop is about song structures and sound design: how do you arrange a story and atmospheric soundscapes using musical equipment? And how do you devise thrilling arcs of suspense with synthesisers?

Anyone with some experience in producing electronic music is welcome in this workshop. You are welcome to bring along your self-produced tracks to the workshop. Anyone wishing to try out ideas on the spot can also bring along their own laptop. Following the workshop, Nadia Struiwigh invites you to take part in a discussion session.

Please note: this workshop takes place in English.

Following the workshop, there will be an opportunity to continue experimenting and engaging in conversation at 7:30 p.m.: Nadia Struiwigh will host a synthesizer jamsession on the MS Stubnitz, to which everyone is invited to bring their favorite creative devices. Admission is free or on a donation basis.
