Virtuosic piano music

The Armenian pianist Marianna Shirinyan is one of the world’s most creative and sought-after soloists and chamber musicians: no wonder she won five awards at the ARD International Music Competition in Munich. She plays with great sensitivity and technical brilliance. In the Elbphilharmonie Recital Hall, she presents a diverse programme ranging from Baroque to Romanticism: alongside virtuosic works by Scarlatti and Ravel, she also performs lyrical and expressive character pieces by Schubert and Chopin, as well as one of Bach’s most popular works, »Jesus bleibet meine Freude«.
