From north to south

The Russian-born, France-based conductor Semyon Bychkov, who has held several chief conductorships over the course of an exceptional career, including the WDR Symphony Orchestra and the Orchestre de Paris, returns to the podium of the NDR Elbphilharmonie Orchestra. He is currently chief conductor of the Czech Philharmonic in Prague. Leif Ove Andsnes is the piano soloist. The »Wall Street Journal« called the Norwegian one of »the most gifted musicians of his generation«, while »Vanity Fair« included him on their »Best of the Best« list.

Please note: Semyon Bychkov has regrettably been forced to cancel his appearance in this concert due to illness. Manfred Honeck has kindly agreed to step in at short notice. Also, Leif Ove Andsnes has been forced to cancel his appearance. Rudolf Buchbinder has kindly agreed to step in at short notice.
