Pleasure and Adventure

Drums, guitar, vibraphone and bass are all that HI5 need to nonchalantly, playfully and creatively tear down genre boundaries. This »jazz band« spends a great deal of time in the rehearsal room, creating their sophisticated arrangements, only to surprise audiences at live concerts by playing freely time and again and keeping a lightness in the music that reveals nothing of the hard work behind it. The result is something you simply don’t hear every day. Listening is both a pleasure and an adventure. After ten eventful years – with more than 300 concerts in Mexico, Canada, the USA, China, Japan, India and all over Europe – the quartet presents an entirely new programme at »Jazz im Kulturcafé«.
