Best of Mozart. He says so himself

In this concert, the audience can expect wind chamber music at its finest with plenty of rare works. Avner Dorman’s 2007 composition »Jerusalem Mix« is full to the brim with rhythmical and thematic surprises. A magnificent musical portrait of one of the world’s most exciting cities.

Walter Gieseking’s 1919 Quintet for Piano and Winds is the second rare work of the evening. Ensemble 4.1.’s combination of instruments is also a rarity. Piano quintets of this kind are almost unheard of. And this exciting concert opens with Mozart’s KV 452, about which the composer himself once said: »It is the best thing I have ever written.«
