With approximately 120 active members, the Symphonische Chor Hamburg is one of the most prestigious and tradition-steeped choirs in Hamburg. Founded in 1886, the choir has been under the direction of Matthias Janz since 1985. In addition to the large-scale and popular choral repertoire, Matthias Janz has committed himself to performing compositions that are otherwise seldom heard.
