Description

The award-winning Hamburg-based singer-songwriter Anna Depenbusch is a poetic storyteller and a master of contrast. She weaves stories from truths, fantasy and irony. She slips into the role of a woman in love, an injured woman, a dreamer and an observer. In the process Depenbusch whispers and whistles, trembles, mocks and moves – and sometimes, as in the dynamic »Haifischbarpolka«, flickering images of 1920s cabaret suddenly flit past our eyes. In the Elbphilharmonie Grand Hall she presents her new solo programme, entitled »Anna Depenbusch’s Black-&-White Alphabet«.
