Building bridges and telling tales

Concerts with the South African cellist Abel Selaocoe are always an experience. Not only because he combines his classical and virtuoso mastery with body percussion and singing from his homeland, but also because he repeatedly seeks contact with the audience. Most recently, Selaocoe transformed the Elbphilharmonie into a large choir and ensured magical moments during his concert with the Aurora Orchestra. Even with his solo programmes, he captivates people all over the world. The »Telegraph« described him as a »brilliantly talented one-man band« due to his unique combination of cello, rhythm and singing.
