FAST LANE

From Baroque to jazz, from harpsichord to accordion – the »Fast Lane« series presents young musicians playing in an astonishing variety of styles. They share two things: a dynamic stage performance and the phase their career is at. All of them have long since outgrown their status as »rising star« musicians and are on the fast track to a global career, so to speak. This applies, for example, to cellist Abel Selaocoe from South Africa, who turns every concert into a rousing performance with improvisation and singing. In addition to classical programmes, there is also the unusual combination of trumpet and accordion – and Lucienne Renaudin Vary and Félicien Brut prove how charming this sounds with their programme »The Perfect Match«. The series is rounded off by a relaxed jazz evening with Brazilian pianist Amaro Freitas and his trio.
