»Hot tea refreshes the spirit«, according to one Japanese proverb. What better way then to get into the mood for an hour of music than a cup of exquisite brew? Once again this season the »Teatime Classics« series invites you to the elegant ambience of the Brahms-Foyer on six Saturday afternoons to enjoy a treat for your taste buds and your ears. Relax and enjoy chamber music played for you by outstanding young musicians.

The series begins with the Hamburg-based Trio Adorno, followed by the flutist Aslıhan And. She was born in Istanbul, is currently studying at Hamburg’s Musikhochschule and has already gained experience with the NDR Symphony Orchestra. The series continues with the pianist Annika Treutler, who at the age of 20 had already founded her own chamber music festival. Further concerts are performed by the violist Lise Berthaud, who was selected as a BBC New Generation Artist in 2013, and the Mucha Quartet from Slovakia. The »Teatime Classics« are brought to a close by the multiple award-winning Russian pianist Sergey Tukachev.
