Description

Hardly any other classical genre has achieved such intellectual depth and musical refinement through its long tradition as the string quartet. The best representatives of this guild perform at the Elbphilharmonie every year. This is the last chance to hear the Hagen Quartet, as the world-famous ensemble is retiring from the stage after over 50 years. Fortunately, the next generation of musicians is in place, for example the Schumann Quartet, which likewise consists mainly of siblings, the young high-flyers of Quatuor Arod and the Pavel Haas Quartet, which will be performing works from its Czech homeland.
