They all sing – that is, roughly speaking, the only thing the four soloists in the current season have in common. All four exceptional soloists present highly individual programmes at the Laeiszhalle. Take, for example, Simone Kermes: usually, the red-haired soprano dazzles her audiences with extravagant coloratura performances in the Großer Saal. Here she presents an intimate evening of songs by Rossini and Eric Satie. The 24-year-old Russian soprano Julia Lezhneva gives her Hamburg debut with a programme of classical Lieder. Her voice with its colourful vocal range is nearly without vibrato, which adds new dimensions to the songs of Schumann and Schubert. Christian Gerhaher´s velvety baritone enraptured Hamburg audiences in 2011 and he now returns with an imaginative programme that juxtaposes the First and the Second Vienna School. Ian Bostridge needs no introduction in Hamburg – for this recital in 2014/2015 he presents Schubert’s »Winterreise« with the celebrated composer and pianist Thomas Adès.

You would rather pick out your own individual concerts than book an entire concert series? In that case, the »Wahl-Abo« is just right for you. It is the best way to experience the programmatic breadth of the Symphoniker Hamburg and not miss out on special rates: a 20% discount when buying tickets for five (or more) different concerts at the same time. The discount is only available at the Elbphilharmonie and Laeiszhalle Tickets shops and when ordering by telephone.

With the Abo-Card, two tickets can be purchased for many concerts of the Elbphilharmonie Hamburg and the Norddeutscher Rundfunk with a 10% discount. The 10% discount can be claimed directly after payment of the subscription.

A subscription is valid for the selected series in season and will be renewed for a further season automatically, unless written notice to terminate the renewal is given by 30 June of the current season (exception: the Symphoniker Hamburg's Hasi Concerts).
If you are unable to attend a concert in your subscription series, a voucher will be issued, which you may then redeem for your chosen concert of the same promoter (exceptions: NDR Bigband, NDR Jazz, NDR Vokalensemble and NDR Chamber Music Recitals series as well as the Symphoniker Hamburg’s »Hasi Concerts«).
Only one swop is accepted per subscription and season. Swops can only be executed within season. You must give notice of a swop request in person or by phone one week before the concert at the latest.
The right to attend the subscribed concerts can also be transferred to third parties.
