Zur Gemeinwohlökonomie! / Film Concert
Hamburg International Music Festival
The Economy for the Social Good (Gemeinwohlökonomie) is an alternative to the prevalent model of capitalism, an ethical economic approach in which the primary objective is the good of humankind and the natural world. Community instead of individualism, cooperation rather than competition. Inspired by this, 20 female artists from 11 European countries have produced 10 animation films in which film and music form a joint work of art. The subjects of the films range from circus acrobats and urban outskirts to an English lingerie sewing line. At the Elbphilharmonie, Klangforum Wien now performs the music live in accompaniment to the films.
